We are pleased to introduce part of the highlighted exhibitors:
|
TEIJIN FRONTIER CO., LTD.
|
TEIJIN FRONTIER CO., LTD. will commemorate their 6th year of participation at the Intertextile Shanghai event. They aim to increase their recognition in the China market while showcasing their strategic PTT textile and developed products < SOLOTEX > (*Chinese:舒柔特) and enhancing other differentiated product proposals.
Within the China market ‘We sense higher expectations for Japan-made (designed) fabrics. We intend to enhance recognition of our products, including ‘SOLOTEX’ by TEIJIN FRONTIER to expand sales channels. On this occasion, we feature: ‘SOLOTEX’ textile alongside cut and sewn items, ‘MINOTECH’, retaining high water-repellency (* Chinese: 蓑技), alongside ‘DELTAPEAK’ and its new texture feel. |

CRYSTAL CLOTH CO., LTD. dealing with fabric design/sales for ladieswear, will mark its sixth participation. ‘Although the China market is huge, the time has finally come to accept ‘made in Japan’ products. Initially, it was a tough struggle, but finally, demand for Japan-made fabrics with high added value has emerged.’, highlighting the market transition.
They showcase mainly cotton, linen and silk for spring/summer and wool and natural fibre for autumn/winter. Their advantage includes ‘high designing/planning ability’, as strongly reflected in the product development such as jacquard, yarn-dyed textile, patterned fabrics, prints and knits alongside colour variation for each line. Amid trends within the ladieswear field changing ever more rapidly, we would like to enhance unique and wide-ranging product proposals with our original finishing techniques, while promoting the particular sought-after luxury feel through our own filter. |
SHIBAYA CO., LTD. will participate with the aim of ‘increasing domestic sales in China’, showcasing approximately 500 part items, including their risk products, newly developed fabrics for autumn/winter. They will also present products that include a variation centring on wool, alongside items with enriched surface feel and finished by salt shrinkage treatment.
‘We believe potential customers remain in the localities in China and expect the market to expand further on a high scale. Nomura Trading <Shanghai> has been assisting us in following up on domestic sales. They have been striving to develop and engage each local region in China; Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Tsingtao and Shenzen.’ |
IRIS CO., LTD. showcases buttons and established factories in China almost 30 years ago. As well as setting up sales offices in Shanghai as the main base, they also constructed branches in Dalian, Suzhou and Shenzen. They have been participating in the Intertextile Shanghai as a local company, but decided on this occasion to participate under the scope of the Japan Pavilion ‘with the aim of cultivating new customers.’
As for the China market, they consider ‘The market is enormous and includes wide-ranging apparel. We have over 20,000 products and a system that can easily handle demand.’ Reactivity is also their forte; ‘There is no minimum qty setting; our stock operation allows delivery of 100 or 500 pcs. or whatever the quantity required within three days.’ Since buttons are supporting materials and decided during the final garment planning/making phase, a shorter delivery function becomes even more crucial. They are eager to exhibit buttons with unrivalled decorative properties and unique to Japan. |
