Commencing in 2005, < Milano Unica (MU) > and alongside it, < Première Vision >, known as the world’s most acclaimed textile exhibition in Paris, are perceived and positioned as the world’s two most prestigious fabric expositions, uniting fabric buyers and procurers from the world over.
Relocating the venue to RHO Filearmilano from the last edition, MU expanded its show space by 50% to 60,000m²; a move positively acclaimed by visitors, despite having to locate the venue further away as a result. This clearly reflects the new direction taken by MU; opening the gate of the IDEABIELLA area to all visitors as opposed to limited buyers, like before and also providing all visitors with a free meal service and boosting the quality of the whole MU fair in the process. MU is heading for a new stage and taking measures with future management improvement in mind, targeting efforts to become the world’s foremost exhibition.
< The Japan Observatory at Milano Unica (The JOB) > will celebrate its 6th participation this time. Building on the success of each event year-on-year, the JOB has been highly acclaimed by an ever-growing number of repeaters and buyers, who appreciate the weaving/knitting/dyeing/finishing techniques originating from Japan in the collective JOB area.
This occasion will see the JOB located in the Hall 16; same hall as < SHIRTS AVENUE & MODA IN > as well as < The KOB >. Meanwhile, the all-time attraction – the JAPAN PR Corner - will be focusing on fresh colours; reflecting a spring-summer image, unlike the usual ‘WA’ (Japanese) taste, with its location in the hall farthest away in mind; welcoming visitors with a comfortable airy space. |
