INDEX[2] JOB emerges in the IDEABIELLA zone

The event will see JOB debut in the < IDEABIELLA > zone - an exclusive area in which top Italian and UK manufacturers handling premium fabrics - mainly menswear - converge. For JOB, approval to participate reflects and rubber stamps the ‘exceptional standard of Japan-made fabrics and quality’ and it will strive to meet all expectations. After opting against in-person participation during the global COVID-19 pandemic for two years, JOB returned to the show this February to general acclaim and highly positive feedback from visitors. We are delighted to now introduce JOB physical exhibitors, including new and returning companies.

INDEX[3] <Introduction of exhibitors>

3rd. PARTY LLC

Collaborating with Japanese textile regions- for unique proposals

3rd. PARTY LLC, marking their 2nd appearance in JOB. For this company, optimally exploiting its links to textile regions nationwide allows it to ‘introduce the finest fabrics produced by small- and medium-sized local manufacturers who would otherwise lack the ability to showcase their products overseas and even consolidate settlement and distribution’ as their key advantage. The company name itself, ‘3rd. PARTY’, is also used in a logistics context to indicate a function or service to receive and process distribution consignments. 3rd. PARTY spares no effort as a converter/trading firm in collaborating with wide-ranging Japanese textile weavers up and down the country.

On show this time around will be a wealth of unique items: a 13.5 oz vintage denim, < SOG 7060 >, woven on a power loom, which lends the end fabric a unique texture. Meanwhile, < NC-06 > is a union fabric which, as well as blending nylon for weft and cotton for warp, retains moderate thickness and stiffness for a wider applicable scope, from garments to industrial materials and more. < B2_KAKI > is also woven with a power loom, turned into highly compact twill more often then not and a reactive persimmon tannin dye is finally applied via a washer machine.

Despite concerns over the Ukrainian situation and soaring crude oil prices, which affects shipping costs, they are highly motivated and eager to participate and win new customers. From their perspective, the ‘European market has a high potential for sales of Japan-made fabrics.

SOJITZ FASHION CO., LTD.

Leveraging recycled raw materials

SOJITZ FASHION CO., LTD, set to debut at JOB, reached the following verdict: ‘For our company, Europe is a market to be further exploited and focused moving forward. We join this fair in the hope of acquiring new customers, enhancing awareness of our company and also collecting trend-related insights.

Signature products include not only their specialty yarn-dyed and printed cotton textiles but also products including recycled nylon. Among the items awaiting visitors this time around are < 80704 >, a poly-cotton blend using raw material from recycled polyester via plastic bottles that dries more quickly and resists creases better than cotton alone. Similarly, < 336 > also originates from recycled polyester, while retaining a cotton-like texture and similar properties. As well being less prone to creasing than cotton, it is also UV-resistant thanks to the use of fully-dull polyester yarns.

Conversely, < 68181 > is a recycled wool from re-spun yarns. After worn-out wool products have been collected and factory wastage reduced, they reproduce cotton-like raw material with a rag-machine to re-spin yarns. The company also focuses on small-batch and online sales, offering a wide range of premium-quality ‘MADE-IN-JAPAN’ products, available from one roll/unit onwards via the website.

SUNWELL CO., LTD.

Stand-out stock-service function

SUNWELL CO., LTD. are set to mark their 11th participation in JOB after forging a strong reputation Europe-wide for their stand-out stock-service function and with an agency presence in Milan and Paris respectively.

Europe is an important market comprising traditionally established luxury maisons. We see a great fit between the recent tendency toward small-batch orders and our stock-service function.’ Their aim in participating is ‘to expand the business scope for Europe while absorbing market demand in the post-COVID 19 era via direct negotiations with customers.’

Highlights include: < 11488 >, a relatively thick-type katsuragi (twill) material using 100% organic cotton, providing a firm feel with a soft and natural touch and available in 22 colour variations. < 11485 >, meanwhile, is a medium-thick twill using recycled polyester. < ECOPET >, which retains fluid tension and stiffness with accentuated clean twill lines and wards off creases and shrinkage, is available in 27 colours. < 52328 >, conversely, is part of a series: < ReCOHNHny > using recycled nylon; a hybrid combined with soft-shaded < ONIBEGIE >, which blends in naturally-derived pigment as part of the dye.

UNI TEXTILE CO., LTD.

Showcasing abundant variations

UNI TEXTILE CO., LTD. returns to JOB with a focus on nurturing new customers, as they explain: ‘Europe is a crucial market for our company and we have high expectations.

Their focus this time around will be on quilt-like double-weave jacquard, using 100% polyester. It’s soft and warm thanks to puffy yarns, offering the gentlest touch and feel. Conversely, chambray-twill, part of their standard waltz series, is a far firmer fabric, thanks to the two-ply weft yarns used. The fabric is also elaborately produced with 100% polyester, to emphasize its chambray feature, with cationic yarns for parti-coloured dyeing.

Other highlights to look forward to include: overall grainy seersucker fabric with moderate transparency. This is an easy-care material made with Toray’s <T400> instead of monofilament, which retains an appealing texture and added stretchability.

Despite recently rocketing raw material and fuel costs, the company is striving to limit any price increases and respond swiftly to preserve business opportunities. The company has long been acclaimed for its stock-service function and rapid delivery alongside wide-ranging fabric and colour variations, all of which will be fully leveraged.
