Earlier show dates are welcome! – JOB exhibitors at MU – |
We introduce selected exhibitors as follows: |
HOKKOH CO., LTD. is a new exhibitor at the JOB. ‘We have continuously participated in the Première Vision, but among the feedback from buyers dealing in menswear fabrics included views that a show in September was late for fabric selection. This is why we decided to challenge MU this time, to prioritize these things: putting on the show earlier in July and ensuring a higher ratio of buyers for menswear.’
The Autumn/Winter 2019 collection will include their speciality, fabrics for men’s casual wear, including camouflage, indigo-related items and fabric prints. ‘We also feature products retaining elements inspired by Japan craft and sustainability-related alongside organic cotton elements, which they believe will attract considerable interest in Europe. We would like to enhance the appeal of Japan-crafted items in particular’ came eager feedback. |
STYLETEX CO., LTD. is also set to make its debut. Having participated in < Japan Textile Salon in NYC > (organized by JETRO), held in NY in January, they assume ’Europe is more suitable as a market’.
To date, this company has been providing high-density yarn-dyed fabrics for luxury brands. ‘Although we have been selling indirectly, we cannot expect massive growth in the domestic market in future. Besides, although we also export some of our stock overseas, we would like to appeal directly to the European market’, explaining the motive behind their initial participation. Their product for heavy clothing, namely a luxury coat material, yarn-dyed with threne dye, limits the scope of applicable brands. On this occasion, items featured will include high-density yarn-dyed cotton fabrics alongside high-density mixed woven fabric with silk and plain chambray items. |
YAGI TSUSHO LIMITED has been participating on an ongoing basis ever since the inaugural event. ‘Our objectives, namely to enhance recognition on site and cultivate new customers, have been accomplished at MU. Equally we can build on our reliable reputation with existing customers by exhibiting at MU’ – expressing appreciation for the positive and firm result achieved to date.
As for the earlier show period, newly set from September to July, feedback included: ’We welcome the decision, as our customers are mainly menswear brands and we already have a track record of visiting Italy to see our customers in July.’ Continuing on this theme: ‘This period allows us to rectify directions, even when errors arise.’
On this occasion, the highlighted items they will showcase include eco-fur, denim and micro-peach fabrics, alongside lightweight down items retaining stretchability and down-proof functionality. ‘Apart from denim; our timeless and ever-popular items, we will also showcase fabrics that are eco-conscious this time.’ |
